Running Wind Farms Gypsy Horses

Our Sport Horse Program begins with quality Paint mares we chose specifically for their wonderful beauty, correct conformations, very sweet temperaments with great minds to learn. The apple rumps we have always enjoyed with a must for a strong hind quarter, alot width at the hip and muscular chests. Included in our mares are some of the finest Paint Horse Halter/Performance bloodlines out there. The bonus is they all have gorgeous heads, long manes and forelocks, plus being all in color!

Our mares are proving to cross very well with our Gypsy Stallion, the offspring are not only gorgeous in looks and temperament, they are truly elegant movers as well! We strive to produce the best Quality Sport Horse there is to offer being beautiful in every way. We wanted it "all" in one package and we are doing just that within our program and it shows within our foals!

Our Gypsy Sport Horses are "family oriented" loyal equines that will be able to perform under saddle and/or hitch up to the cart, with ample amount of bone, a good size hoof and lots of hair! These Gypsy Sporthorses will be the next best thing to a pure Gypsy Horse for sure, at a more affordable price without giving up quality. These horses are exhibiting the best qualities of both breeds for the perfect horse! It is in our opinion that this cross will be exceptional for the whole family to enjoy as well as being very versatile in disciplines with spectacular athletic abilities. (We couldn't resist but to keep a couple for ourselves:)

 All foals are handled daily, loved, touched extensively as they grow, pick up hooves, halter, lead while they are here. Contract/Deposit required to hold. Great way to add a new family member and we do all the work, foal the mare out, wean and all the basic handling! Great deal! You get a well mannered, trusting new foal to finish raising into a beautiful kind hearted best friend for life! We give them a great start:)

  Stunning girl! Born 11:00 a.m. 4/26/08 and she is awesome in every way:) Holy Horse, she is everything and more then we could have asked for out of Goldy and Duke. She is also just HUGE, big bone, black curly tail, markings that stand out with white socks and black spots all around her coronet bands for black hooves. Holy Gypsy Sport Horse, a stunning lad he is! Picture to the left shows Max at 4 months old. He was born on July 2nd 2008 at 7:00 pm. He has all black face with a smudge of white on one nostril and lower lip. He should be the poster child of the "Got Milk" advertising:) He has one stunning blue eye and one dark on his black face, wowza! He is sharp:) This handsome boy is Black/White and homozygous for the tobiano gene. He may be homozygous for black too? More pics on his link below but this is the first homozygous Black/White Gypsy Sport Horse Stallion prospect in the U.S. and of this quality!!! "RWF Sir Levi" aka Levi 08 Black/White Homozygous Tobiano Gypsy Sport Horse colt.

  Born at 10:30 August 18, 2008. Shown at 3 months old in the left picture. What a stunning boy he is:) All specked/freckled up on his blaze and high white socks, white on his neck and butt, a dabble on his chin. This guy is "homozygous for the tobiano gene" so yet another first in the U.S. for us this year, however the second colt born on our farm, a homozygous Gypsy Sport Horse colt in Black/white!!! Levi has a gorgeous head, short wide nose even at such a young age. We are absolutely thrilled with him, just enough white to be flashy! Thick in bone and elegant mover. (UPDATE- now there is one just like him, his full brother Mid Night Thor born in 2009)!

Born on August 23, 2008. What a gorgeous Bay/White colt, nicely marked! Thick built, wide chest and big hip, gorgeous mover! This boy is SWEET and FLASHY!!! Handled daily and becoming quite the fur ball:) He looks to be getting wavey mane like his half sister "Abbie" the Friesian Sport Horse filly this mare produced last year! What a stunning Gypsy Sport Horse he is, imagine him all grown up!? Built to die for:) Can be a wonderful present for a loved one, or to yourself, wowza!  Born on June 16, 2008 at 9:00 pm. This is a stunning lad and we are thrilled! He looks to be bay/liver/black on his newborn coat although at the moment we feel he will be the same color as his dam!? Dam is considered brown which is an almost black with brown highlights. This guy is a wonderful Gypsy Sport Horse, so very friendly:) See his link below for updates. Libby was born on April 12, 2007. She is a black & white Registered in the Gypsy Horse Registry of America section "c". Well known bloodlines on both sides of the pond. We added some of America's Paint Horse Halter and Performance "Champion" blood to mix with some of Englands "Finest" Gypsy Horse blood and produced one of America's finest Gypsy Sport Horses! She is gorgeous and more then we expected. She has much of the looks of a purebred Gypsy Horse, thick bone, that cute short stunning head, beautiful topline, good size hoof and she is sweet! We can not of course tell how much feather she will have at maturity but she does have quite a bit indeed for some added flash! I will be posting on her pictures link above under her picture.

We have started her ground driving! She has taken to it very well which is typical for the Gypsy Breed. We are thrilled with these Sport Horses, temperament, beauty, strength and athletic abilities! We want it all and we have it!
