                                        ~The Duke Of Running Winds~

Above pictures of our Duke, summer of 2008, he is FOUR! WOWZA!!

Duke, Imported as a weanling, Sired by Englands handsome and well known Sire "The Rocking Horse" and out of  an "SD Farms well bred mare" known as~ "The Bunny Mare" (Bred by Bunny Holmes) who is own daughter of the Legendary "Shogun Horse" by "The Kent Horse".

Duke is a fine example of what a true and traditional Gypsy Stallion should be in every way!  We couldn't be more thrilled to have raised this fellow into the outstanding young stallion he is today. He never fails to amaze us:) We are so very proud and at the same time feel priveledged to add him to our family! "He is truly our dreamhorse!"

He has such wonderful qualities that only a Gypsy can portray, starting with his most sweet personality, eagerness to learn all new things, possessing the natural ability to retain all he learns so quickly! His striking presence with his beauty breath taking, captivating all who meet him! Duke always loves attention , most that visit him don't even know he is a stallion.

Duke is three above in the summer of 2007

"Duke" along with our Gypsy mares burn and break off alot of feather depending on the time of year and weather!

They get to be out to pasture, running free being horses too:)

Posting pictures of all times of the year throughout site so all can be seen that they are full of hair!

He has also started his ground driving training and under saddle riding, he is outstanding!

The Gypsy Horses are just so smart and willing. I just am very taken with this breed, they capture your heart for sure.

~ The Rocking Horse ~  The Sire of "Duke"

"Standing at SD farm in England"

This is a large breeder, who is very protective of his stock.  Not just anyone can buy for him, and he doesn't sell to people in England.  He doesn't want the other lads to get his good blood.  Not only does he have a large number of horses, but he still breeds good "using size" horses.  He comes from a family that has had horses for generations, and his sons are also a big part of the family's horses.  The grandfather of this breeder was the first man to bring colored horses out of Ireland to mix with the heavy English stock, so this man has been with this breed since it's inception.  The SD breeder is the largest known-bloodline herd of gypsy cobs in England and in the WORLD.
